431. Avocado Dip

This is a healthy gathering-dip that is best accompanied by a seasoned carb boat, such as garlic-seasoned baguette croutons or tortilla chips. I would even suggest some crudités, but it’s a very mild dip as it is, so it needs to be carried with something having a punch.
This is a pretty good idea for a girls’ get-together, ad to reduce calories, you can opt for low fat sour cream instead of regular. Adapted from here.

Ingredients:

2 sliced avocados
1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup packed fresh coriander leaves
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 jalapeno, chopped
1/2 tsp salt

Crispy bread or Tortilla chips, for serving

Method:

In a food processor, combine avocados, sour cream, cilantro, lemon juice, jalapeno, and salt.
Pulse until smooth, scraping down sides as necessary.
Serve with crispy toasted bread or tortilla chips.
