There’s this local bakery that sells these sweet pizzas, naming them Sukaria (سٌكرية).Their price has more than doubled in the last two years, from a scant 6 Qatari Riyals ($1.65) to its current 15 QR ($4.12), due to its popularity.
I decided to recreate it at home, using a pita or tannur bread.
Note that the tannur bread I use is roughly the size of a dinner plate, with a slight overhang.
The cream cheese I use is Kiri, but I see no problem using Philadelphia instead.
This creamy and ever-so-slightly-salty cheese is topped with grated mozzarella cheese, which will give us a stingy-gooey finale; which in turn is sprinkled with granulated sugar for a sticky-sweet crusty crunch.
1 large tannur bread
100g cream cheese
100g mozarella, shredded
3 Tbsp sugar
