Barely a recipe, this is a life hack. For all the coffee lovers out there, this is a new way to enjoy your drink chilled in the hot Summer months. Coffee cubes are made by freezing your regular coffee (drip? instant? espresso?) in an ice cube tray, pile the cubes in a tall glass and splash your type of milk over it.My favorite milk is home-made almond milk. None of this sweetened, diluted, preserve shop bought stuff. Use regular cow milk, soy milk, or any other milk you like. The delight of this drink lies in slow sipping. The longer the drink stands, the more opportunity the coffee has to seep into the milk and chill the drink.
Cooled black coffee
Freeze the cooled black coffee in an ice cube tray.
When frozen solid, put a number of cubes in a tall glass and pour over your favorite milk.
Allow to sit for a short while to seep and chill your drink.
